Reduced-Branch Split Tee: A STOPPLE® or tapping fitting with the top flange of a diameter smaller than the pipeline; i.e., a 12 x 6 RBST is a 12" split sleeve with a 6" flange.
Response time: refers to the time (in seconds) from entry of the gas sample into a detector's sensor chamber to the time the resulting measurement is displayed to the operator. For any VSR, the response time should be less than 3 seconds. A related and important time event is the time for a detector's measurement display to return to zero after taking in a clear air sample.
